 World Market identity

World Market sells everything from specialty foods, to self-care products, to home décor. Their branding? A little tired.

The Assignment: Revitalize the brand to appeal to shoppers with an Anthropologie aesthetic on a Target budget.


Why a turtle?

Across the globe, many cultures have similar myths of the World Turtle—a giant, cosmic tortoise who carries the world upon its’s back. Turtles represent wisdom, perseverence, and longevity. I selected a turtle to represent World Market’s commitment to bringing the world to consumers.

How do you represent the whole world with one store? The process began by exploring what it really means to be worldly (and lots of sketching).
